Terms & Conditions
The following are the terms and conditions under which Marlow Town Regatta and Festival makes items available for sale via this site. Use of this site implies acceptance of these terms and conditions.
1. Definitions
Subscriber: An Adult who has applied and been accepted for membership of Marlow Town Regatta and Festival through the purchase of one or more Subscriber Entry Badge(s).
Customer: A person who purchases badges or tickets for any of the events either for themselves or for others.
Guest: A person, other than a Customer, who uses a badge or ticket purchased by a Customer.
MTRF: Marlow Town Regatta and Festival.
2. Use of this site
The information contained in this website has been prepared solely for the purpose of providing information about the Marlow Town Regatta and Festival and making online bookings for this event. By accessing this site you will be assuming all risks associated with the use of this site, including risk of your computer, software or data being damaged by any virus which might be transmitted or activated via the MTRF and associated box office site or your access to it. You will only use this website for personal private use.
3. Order Completion
Your order is deemed to have been accepted and hence completed once the transaction has been completed and an email receipt notification has been sent by MTRF to your email inbox. You will receive an email in early May detailing how to pick up your badges, tickets and wrist bands either at a local collection point in Marlow before the event, or at the ticket collection point at the entrance on the day of the event. If you do not receive your email notification by 2 weeks before the event, you should inform MTRF by email at enquiries@marlowtownregatta.org
Customers must be present a copy of their order confirmation email printed out or on a mobile device and have proof of identity for the person who purchased the tickets and badges originally.
If MTRF are unable to complete your order for any reason, MTRF will endeavour to inform you of this and reverse any payment made as soon as is reasonably possible.
4. Refunds
Once your order has been completed, no refunds will be given. Your statutory rights remain unaffected by this clause.
5. Alcohol Consumption – Challenge 21
All visitors to the Town Regatta and Festival who are drinking alcoholic drinks and appear to be under the age of 21 will be requested to provide photographic identification (normally a passport or a driving licence). Those who appear to be under the age of 21 and who cannot provide proof that they are 18 years or over will be asked to leave. No refunds will be provided to those expelled from the enclosure. For more information on the code of conduct in relation to alcohol please click here. No alcohol may be brought into the enclosure after 4.00pm. Before 4.00pm MTRF reserve the right to refuse entry to anyone carrying unreasonable quantities of alcohol.
6. Customers’ Obligations
Customers wishing to enter the Regatta enclosure must accept full responsibility for meeting the dress code on Regatta day (Saturday), both for themselves and their Guests. Customers must also accept responsibility for the behaviour of their Guests whilst in the Regatta Enclosure. Saturday evening does not have a dress code. Guests are reminded that day time tickets expire at 7.00pm on the day of the event and all guests without an evening wrist band must have left the enclosure with all of their possessions by this time. Evening tickets are valid from 6.00pm on the day of the event and guests must leave promptly and quietly respecting our neighbours at the end of the event at 10.00pm.
7. Customer & Guest Behaviour Code
MTRF require Customers and their Guests to respect the law in relation to under-age drinking and the use of all forms of recreational drugs. A search policy in relation to drugs, weapons and alcohol will be adopted at the Regatta enclosure entrance. The use of offensive language or threatening behaviour will not be tolerated. Security personnel are instructed to expel offenders (without refund of any entry fees paid) and report all instances of the above to the police without question. 8. Saturday Daytime Regatta Enclosure Dress Code
On Saturday, Gentlemen should be smartly dressed in long trousers with shirt and blazer or jacket. Ladies should be dressed smartly in a dress or skirt/trousers and top. Jeans, denim, shorts and trainers are not permitted in the Regatta Enclosure. For a full description of the Dress Code click here. There is no dress code for Saturday evening.
9. Member Benefits
Membership of Marlow Town Regatta and Festival must be renewed annually and provides the Member with a number of benefits including:
9.1. At least 24 hour advance notice of the availability of badges and tickets for the following year’s event.
9.2. An invitation to the Annual General Meeting and a voice at this meeting.
9.3. Voting rights on certain matters at the Annual General Meeting.
9.4 A “Subscriber” entry badge to be worn in place of standard Adult badge.
10. Filming ‘The Marlow Murder Club’ a new TV drama by Marlow Murder Club LTD. (MMC)
Please be aware that by entering the event you may be caught on camera & you are granting mmc permission to use your image in the background of this programme. If you want to ensure that you are not caught on camera please avoid this area or contact the production on the number that will be displayed at the entrance.
